Install VMware Workstation or VMware Player from a .bundle file

You can run the Linux bundle installer to install VMware Workstation or VMware Player on most Linux distributions by using these instructions.

Before getting started, we suggest you Learn Linux Basics and follow these precautions.

Step 1

Open a terminal (Ubuntu keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Alt+T).

Step 2

cd to the directory where the bundle installation file was saved.

Step 3

Substituting the file name, type the following command:
sudo sh VMware-Workstation-xxxx-xxxx.architecture.bundle
